Leh Trip

Day 1, 2 In Train
After waiting for months i booked ticket to Delhi for Rajadhani on 6th of june.
On 6th evening 8:30 i started my journey and reached delhi by 8th in the morning.

Day 3,4 -Delhi-Jammu
I planned to spend couple of days in delhi.When I got there i got mad,
it was too hot there I think its more than 46 Degree,so i changed my plans
I booked a ticket to Jammu by bus that day itself.
I spend rest of time in Delhi Metro and in hotel. Evening 10 o'clock I got my bus to jammu.
I don't want remember about that journey to jammu any more..two times tyre got punctured...
I reached Jammu around 5 in the evening next day. Jammu also just like Delhi, too hot for me .
Spend that day in Jammu.Booked a ticket ticket to Srinagar by JKSRTC for next day morning.

Day 5 Jammu-Srinagar
Morning bus started at 7. From that journey i started enjoying the beauty of Himalayas
It was a nice journey through mountains.The roads are too narrow,am also little afraid.
Evening i reached Srinagar around 5.Spent evening visiting Srinagar town.
From Jammu to Kargil, whole highway we can find guards in every 50 to 100 meters for about 500 kms

Day 6 Srinagar.
Next Day morning went to see Mugal gardens.Evining i went to Dal Lake for Sikara ride.
It was really nice.After that i booked a ticket to Leh from Tourist Reception Centre.

Day 7 Srinagar-Kargil
Morning I started at 7 to leh.It will take two days to reach Leh from srinagat.
First day the bus will halt in Kargil. I reached Kargil at 4.30.
From Kargil i got one companian Izhaq.He was from Israel,
We got one room and stayed there in kargil.

Day 8 Kargil-Leh
At 4 in the morning we started to Leh.The way through himalayan deserts
was very beautiful.We reached Leh at 4 in the evening.We got rooms in a guest house
.Lot of guest houses are in Leh.
Evening we went to Local town.

Day 9 Leh.
Visited Leh Palace in the morning after that we went to see a cultural festival in polo grounts.
At that time spring festival was going on there.

Day 10 Leh
Spent in town and went castle of Tesmo.Izhaq was going for a trek the next day,
so i also decided to join with him.We planned to trek to Spituk to stok. Its was 4 day trek.

Day 11 Drive to Spituk and trek to Zinchen (3200 metres)
Started at 8 in the morning from Spituk to Jing chang.
After walking for about 7 hours through barren countryside we reached in Zinchen.
Zinchen is a small village,We found only two houses there.
We stayed in one of the houses at night.We can stay in houses or in Tents.
For one night we paid 300 for simple food and accomodation.

Day 12 Zinchen to Rumbak (3900 metres)
Morning at 7 we started to Rumbak.It took about 7 hours to reach Rumbak.
Rumbak is known as Vally of snow Leopards. If we are extraordinarily lucky,
we might see a snow leopard here. where we see the snow-capped peaks of the Stok Mountains,
and fields of barley, potatoes and green vegetable that are grown by the villagers.
There is aboud 15 houses there.Overnight camp.

Day 13 Rumbak to Stok La (4900 metres,16000 feet)
We woke up early for the trek but there was snowfall outside.We waited until 9.
A stiff climb takes us to Stok La, which is at about 4900 metres /16000 feet and for me it took about 5 hours.
We did'nt camped there,We left to Stok. We resched Stok by 5 and then Leh by 7.

Day 14
Whole my body was paining. so I took rest for whole day.

Day 15
We were looking few more people for hiring a taxi to go to Pangong Lake.
.And bye evening we got 3 more.And we booked a taxi for that.

Day 16 Pangong Lake
Started at 7.30 by a Qualis and reached there at 11.Its about 150 km from Leh.
On the way we passed through the worlds third highest motorable pass. Changla pass (17,000ft.).
This lake is at a altitude of 14,000ft.
After spending few hours we returned and reached Leh around 7.
And next day i was planning to return. So i booked a ticket to Manali by a private bus.Its a two days travel.

Day 17 Leh-Sarchu
At 5'O clock the bus started.It will take two days to reach Manali.
1st day bus halted in Sarchu.there i stayed in tents.
On this way we passed through the worlds second highest motorable pass Taglang-la (5332 mts)


Day 18 Sarchu-Manali-Delhi.
Early morning at 4.30 the bus started and by 5 in the evening we reached Manali.From there i got a bus to Delhi

Day 19 Delhi
Reached Delhi at 8.30 in the morning.
I checked for train tickets but train was full .
So i booked a ticket by air.Afternoon i visited few places in Delhi.
The flight was delayed three times and last i reached Here Next day morning at 2'O clock.
